BEAUTY ... LIES

Where does your Beauty lie?  Does it lie in the way you talk?  Are you someone who people want to talk to because they know they will be encouraged?  That you will be Truthful with them and yet as gentle as necessary.  Where does your Beauty lie?  Does it lie in your ability to listen to others and really hear what they are saying, feeling and sharing from the the depths of their hearts?  Where does your Beauty lie?  Is it in your generosity?  When you talk to your brother, sister, or friend and "hear" their need, you find it within yourself to offer them something - food, a few dollars, a bed to sleep on, or a shoulder to cry on?  Where does your Beauty lie?  When you walk into the room are you a "fragrance" or and "odor"?  Where does your Beauty lie?  Does it lie in your freedom and openness; your ability to smile and talk to people you meet, even "strangers"?  Is it your  willingness to give a real hug to someone, heart to heart, because you feel it and you both need it?  Does your Beauty lie in how passionate you are about what you believe in?  God, your vision, children, your favorite thing, your sense of indignation about what's going on in the world?  Does your Beauty lie in your humility?  Can you fall back and not have to be in the spotlight, to always be seen and heard?  Can you give the floor to someone who needs it and be alright with it?  Does your Beauty lie in your eagerness to acknowledge others for their talents, good deeds or accomplishments with sincerity and not have it take anything away from you?  Is it in your eyes that look directly into the eyes of  another when they speak and communicate through your eyes, something kind and gentle that affirms their soul?  Does your Beauty lie in the way you make others around you feel?  Special, loved, fabulous...like they are the only person in a crowded room?  Where does your Beauty lie?

BEAUTY LIES...

Does your beauty lie in the fabulous designer clothes that you wear?  Is it the beautiful car that you drive?  The house that you own?  Your beautifully furnished apartment or excuse me condominium?  Or is it your shoes?  Is it your ability to manipulate others - "your finesse"?  Is it your big ass? or  your boobs (real or fake)?  Does your Beauty lie in the way you keep it real, letting people know just how you feel - regardless of how they feel?  Perhaps it's your well manicured 4 inch fingernails, your pedicured feet or your 4 inch stilletos?  Maybe it's your phabulous handbag...or your fierce Mac made-up face?  One can definitely see it's in your jewelry...you are dripping in gold (that is platinum and rose colored gold, Thank You!)and oh...don't forget the Bling!  Does your Beauty lie in how many women you have? ...how many men you sleep with?  Is it defined by how much money and things they give you?  Is it in your Blackberry...I mean look at all the texts you get...I can't imagine all the things that you can say to anyone, anytime, anyplace...from a distance...from you cell phone.  Maybe it's in your 52" plasma TV?  Is your Beauty in your hair...your long luxurious weave that's flowing down your back?  or is it in your blonde streaks or fire red tones?  Does your Beauty lie in your perfume?  because we know you only wear the best?  Does your Beauty lie in the sexy clothes you wear, the clothes that reveals everything to everyone (children, men, elders, or whomever)?  because you are ...oh so sexy and hot!  Does your Beauty lie in the way you speak your mind?...your profanity?...because you will curse a mthrfkr out in a Brooklyn minute...and what?
