BeYouTFall : Seasons: FALL

Wow.  I have not been here for awhile.  I saw that my last post was in late September.  We all know how time flies, especially in these days and times.  Which actually segueways into what's been on my mind to share with you since September.  SEASONS....

Every year right after the children go back to school I always begin to feel the energy shifting.  It's like a slow waltz starting and Fall is gracefully moving into her position.  I love this shift.  It comes after a hot and blissful season of Summer.  You're running around, busy, enjoying the Sun and trying to squeeze every drop of your Summer plans out before you miss it.  Beaches, parks, movies, vacations, road trips, barbecues...the works.  Then about when it's time for school to start, the Universe starts to shift your focus.

Fall to me primarily represents Transition.  It is time where you begin to slow down a bit, focus on family (holidays are coming), your home i.e. making it cozy and comfortable because you know you are going to be in more, you start to quiet down and become more reflective.  The leaves begin to turn into their beautiful array of earth and sun tones and another type of beauty is unveiled.  The harvest tones appear and there is a quiet beauty; a sustaining and filling beauty.  Enjoy it and drink it in because it preceding the next season of Winter, which for many of us Sun people can create a kind of Depression.  The lack of light has been proven to work adversely on Sun people.  So...lest I get ahead of this season (I'll save that for another time), be mindful of this transitioning time.  It is grace.  It provides a space for you to slow down, reflect, focus, adapt and prepare for what's ahead.  It precedes a period of rest.  Most of us have forgotten how to rest.  So for now...just slow down, breathe deeply and embrace the Fall.  Indeed it a most beautiful season!
